NetHack

NetHack is a second-generation roguelike. It offers much more than Rogue in terms of character creation, dungeon content, enemies, and items.

Basic game information includes:

• Character Classes - Professions to choose from.
• Character Levels - How the player progresses.
• Character Races - Races to choose from.
• Dungeon Levels - How the dungeon progresses.

A catalogue of collectibles and opponents:

• Armor - Armor that can be found and worn.
• Enemies - Enemies to be fought.
• Food - Varieties of food that can be consumed.
• Potions - Quaffable potions.
• Rings - Magical rings.
• Scrolls - Scrolls with useful and dangerous spells written on them.
• Staves and Wands - Magical staves and wands.
• Tools - Various items that have useful abilities/traits.
• Weapons - Weapons that may be wielded.
